Create a shape

Once you have uploaded a project, you can edit it. Various options are available to you for editing in order to select or create your shape. By default, DREAMCOMPOSER® activates the ‘Fold’ option, which is suitable for the following scenario.

Next, use the manual cut and fold mode, symbolized by the PDF icon in the toolbar on the right-hand side. This tool allows you to select suitable layers or channels from the uploaded PDF file. If your layers have been named ‘cut’, ‘crease’, ‘folding’, etc., the software may have already automatically identified the correct channel. Otherwise, manually select ‘cut’ (scissors icon) or ‘folding’ (folded paper icon). The magnifying glass icon on the left also allows you to check the layers/channels.

To complete the shape, the layout must be folded. Navigate to the ‘Folding’ tab in the toolbar to continue.

You have two options for selecting an edge. You can click directly on a yellow letter on an edge in the 3D view or select a corresponding checkbox from the list on the right-hand side.

A new menu appears after the edge selection. This menu makes it easier to fold the layout to the desired angle/degree.
